1. Who we are

TradeBot (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the website usetradebot.app and the TradeBot AI assistant service. We are based in Ireland and are subject to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. What data we collect

• Email address — when you join the waitlist or subscribe to price update notifications.
• Usage data — anonymous data about how you use the site (pages visited, browser type) collected via server logs. No tracking pixels or third-party analytics.
• Enquiry data — if you use the TradeBot AI assistant via WhatsApp, the details of your enquiry (name, job description, location) are collected and forwarded to the tradesperson you contacted.

3. Why we collect it

• Email address — to send you early access updates, product news, or price change notifications that you signed up for. Legal basis: consent.
• Usage data — to keep the service running and diagnose technical problems. Legal basis: legitimate interests.
• Enquiry data — to connect customers with the correct tradesperson. Legal basis: performance of a service.

4. How we store your data

Email addresses are stored securely. Enquiry data is transmitted via Resend (our email provider) and is not stored on our servers beyond the delivery attempt. We do not sell your data to any third party.

5. How long we keep it

We keep your email address until you unsubscribe or request deletion. Enquiry data is retained for up to 30 days in delivery logs, then deleted.

6. Your rights

Under GDPR, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data (“right to be forgotten”)
• Withdraw consent at any time
• Lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Commission (Ireland) at dataprotection.ie

7. Cookies

We use localStorage (not cookies) to remember your preferences within the estimator tool. This data never leaves your device. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

8. Third-party services

• Resend — used to send email notifications. Subject to Resend's privacy policy.
• Anthropic Claude — powers the AI estimator. Enquiry text may be processed by Anthropic's API. No personal data beyond job details is sent.
• Railway — hosts our servers. Subject to Railway's privacy policy.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect any changes. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
